It's Friday Camp News

Hi Everybeary.

Hope you are enjoying your summer.  We are having a great time at Camp Good Bear, it's so much fun to see camp friends and catch up on stories.

This is Edward, it's his first year at camp and he is so shy.  It's okay, we accept each other just the way we are, and when Edward is ready he will let us take his picture.

On the other hand, the Black Twins are always up to mischief, if not climbing trees they are jumping out from behind one and scaring us.  It's so much fun and most times we pretend that we are scared, it makes them growl with laughter.

This is Gloria Grizzly, she is the Head Bearscelor and keeps everything running smoothly.  Most of the time she is in the office but she loves to come and see what activities we are involved in, her very favorite is honey collecting.  Actually, we never collect much to bring back to camp, but you should see our paws - one BIG sticky mess.  Giggle (that's all I'm sayin').

It's Funny Friday

Hi Everybear.

Boy, did we have fun at Prudence's camp.  There was so much to see, but first let us explain about Daisy Mae.

Dad had just parked the car and we saw Prudence and Wilbur running toward us.  Somehow Daisy got the door opened and out she flew,  "When Pigs Fly" hahahahahaha.  She hit Prudence full force which caught her off balance and down they went.

  Wilbur was close enough to get knocked off his paws by those two falling.  And then it happened, "the three bears" (well, 2 bears and a piggy) began rolling on the grass, laughing so hard we couldn't understand what they were screaming.  Daisy had Prudence in a muzzle lock and just kept kissing her and kissing her and then.......what happened  next was the talk of the camp.  Oh my bear......Daisy jumped up and Prudence & Wilbur were trying to follow but somehow they got tangled in bear limbs and

THEY KISSED?

we mean was that a KISS, like lips to lips?  Did they exchange cooties?

"What Mom?"

Oh, we have to go and have our lunch, see ya.....

at CAMP GOOD BEAR

Well, Bearents Day was a beautiful, clear and cool day.  We had bearents from all over the world visiting our camp.  It was as sweet as honey seeing the cubs and moms and dads mingle with each other.

The activities were a huge success, the watermelon eating contest was fun, sweet and, oh so messy.  But the BEARCELORS WON.  VICTORY!!!

"What's that, Prudence?"

Oh, the rubber tube race over at Big Bear Lake?  Well, um, let me see....

"Oh come on Miss Brenda, tell them...."

We lost.  Cubs won.

The tube race has its own story, I will let Prudence share that with you at another time.

Miss  Bellamine, from the North Pole, did a lovely job teaching an arts and crafts project for everybear. We will have pictures for you in the Camp Good Bear Album.  

Sir Wilbur, from Australia, is our expert fisherbear, and he and the boy cubs had a very informative "paws on" demonstration for all the bearents.  And later that day we all enjoyed the most wonderful fish fry around the campfire

 and this was what we had for dessert.
 Mr. Sweet Pea, our Jr. Bearcelor from California did a fabulous job helping Wilbur so next year he will be the bear-in-charge of teaching about  native plants that surround our beautiful camp.

I will close now and wish you a beary wonderful weekend.  All the cubs are having a wonderful time so please don't worry about them.

It's Funny Friday

Yippee, it's time to go and bring Prudence home from camp.  We are ready, waiting and wanna go NOW!

We called Prudence last night and well.....she says she is ready to come home but if she had the chance she would stay a wee bit longer.  )o:  Not making us feel happy....Prudence.

She said all the bears are sad to leave, they made so many new friends, and they want to be able to visit each other during the year.  We don't like that - we want Prudence all to ourselves.  If her friends come to visit she won't include us in any of the reindeer games - oops (giggle), in any of her teddy bear games.

Mom promised that we can help with the fall decorating this year.  Last year Prudence was in charge and we couldn't help.  It wasn't our fault that we stepped on the orange lights for the mantel, or dropped a bag of candy corn, or broke Mom's favorite ceramic pumpkin.  We get excited and then we do stupid stuff,  we're just little cubs, ya know.  Right?  Huh?

Oh, we gotta go....it's time to get in the car and leave.

Flora, do you have the snacks?

Yup.

LuLu, get your stinky bear butt off my favorite blankie.

It's Bearents Day tomorrow - yippee, we all get to see our families.  We have lots of activities planned.

I can't wait, it will be so good to see LuLu & Flora.  Mom says they have been packed and ready to go for days......they wanted to sleep in the SUV last night, but Mom said no.

Camp is so much fun.  I finally got to meet all my bear friends (BBFF's -best bear friends furever).  Wilbur, Wil, Harold, Sweet Pea, and Daniel like to climb trees and touch frogs (yuck), but they have been catchin' fish for supper and the Bearcelsors cook them (the fish) on the campfire - yummy.  We swim in the lake everyday and there is a tire on a rope it's a "rope tire swing" and it's so much fun.  If you get brave you can swing over the lake and let go - SPLASH!  I am a little timid so I don't swing, but Bellamine, Wendy, & Clarissa like to swing but not get wet.  Sissy & Blossom are like me - no swinging over the water.  But those boys, they jump right in, and they even do fancy dives (I think they are showing off cause we stand there and giggle & cheer for them.) ♥

Resting...

It's Funny Friday

Hi everybeary, it's me and I am feeling so much better.  When I was wakin' up from the bearcedure I saw Mom bending over me and I thought she was a giraffe (giggle).  Then she told me I was saying silly things and singing- I am sooo glad I don't remember.  Yikes.
 Dad brought me a big bouquet of Daisies (my favorite flower), and LuLu ate the flowers, so she is spending time in the "naughty teddy bear chair" and can't post today.  Flora is sticking to me like fur on honey, so she isn't posting either.

Bearthing Suits

Okay, this is for girls only, girls who are going to camp this summer.  Are you bringing bearthing suits?  Last year we just swam in our bear fur suits, let's face it - ya can't see anything that doesn't show when we are on land.  But I would like to know, if your are bringing one then I will bring one too.

is having lots of problems with his two sisters, Blossom & Sissy Bear,  they actually beat him up last week, isn't that awful?  He is so sweet and gentle, maybe he should come and live with us.  Those two may not be going to camp.

Mom just got a letter from camp with all the bearmation that we need.  And they added somethin' new this year, Sunday's are special cause we will have an afternoon picnic and everybeary can use the "puters" to write home.  My friends can use mine so they won't have to wait in line for their turn.  Oh boy, this is gonna be soooo much fun.

Well, Prudence, I guess you can pack your camp pillow and blankie and the other camp stuff now.

Oh, Wilbur is asking his Granny if he can start counting off the days, do you have an extra calendar that I can have, please?

My Easter Tour

It was an exciting week for me (Mom too) and I thank Miss Carol and Miss Maddyrose for being so sweet and thoughtful.  You both are the bestest.
