My New Sister....

It's Funny Friday
by Missy

Good morning everyone, I'm Missy Carrots Mayer, I just arrived at my new forever home last Friday.  I am from Buttermilk Creek Farm, and Miss Carol created me.

Prudence wants me to write our post today 'cause she says we will share writing and that I need to find my own style.  What does that mean?

My travel from Michigan to North Carolina was bumpy but it only lasted 3 days oops, Prudence said I should spell numbers out, it only lasted three days so it wasn't that terrible.  Mom says she could hear me thumping the inside of my travel box and knew when I was getting closer and closer.  The mail lady left me at the side porch door and Mom was there in seconds to grab that box.  And then the fun began....oh wait....."Prudence, I can really show pictures here?"  Okay, I am suppose to say
Let's show it with pictures.... (oh, this is so much fun)
Lets' show it with pictures

Here is what I look like.......
Mom says I'm as pretty as a picture
Those pretty Valentine gifts were from Miss Carol two years ago.  Miss Carol and Mom have been good friends for lots of years, they both love prezzies and send each other tons of prezzies all year, they don't need a special occasion.
It was so nice meeting you, I do hope you come back for another visit.  Prudence and I will write next week's post - it's about "oh, I'm sorry, Prudence, I didn't know that we don't tell about the next post."
Thank you for visiting us.
Love,
Missy
Hi Guys,
Isn't Missy adorable?  We are having loads of fun, and we will tell you about our adventures in upcoming posts.  She doesn't want to share her Easter egg with me but that's okay, she is brand new here and when she  gets more better settled in she will understand that we respect each others stuff.

Happy weekend, everybeary.  Later today we're going to Biltmore Estate to take pictures and pick up our Christmas Candlelight Tour tickets.  On the way back Mom has to get her allergy shots.  SHOTS - my mohair curls just thinking about needles.  Today she gets 3 - but now she only goes every other week.  Better her than me.........OUCH!!!
I posted a fun gift giving idea over on The Crafty Corner, Mom has been doing that with friends for several years.  Maybe you would like to take a peek.

"LuLu?"
"What Flora?"
"I wish they would give Mom 3 zillion needles - big, long ones."
"Ya know Flora, there's  reasons why I don't like you."
"Yeah, name one?"
"Only one, twigs for brains?"

Weaverville

It's Funny Friday
by Prudence
Wasn't there a Kodak® commercial several years ago "say it with pictures"?
Okay then... I'm just sayin' (giggle)....
Next month we will have a new address.  We are moving!
"Prudence"
"Yes, Mom"
"Everyone knows because you couldn't keep your mouth shut!"
"Yeah...but I didn't tell them where, so there!"
"No, just 'Western North Carolina', 'we flew into Asheville', so Miss Big Mouth, what do you have to say about that?"
"WEAVERVILLE here comes Prudence Clearwater!"

Okay, I said it,  we are moving to Weaverville, North Carolina.
So now it's hurry up and wait.  Oh Mom, can't you pack any faster?

Hugs,
Prudence

Biltmore Estate

It's Funny Friday
by Prudence

We were very surprised to see lush Bamboo growing on the grounds.
Howdy everybear, how are you on this wonderful Friday morning?
As you know, we were in Western North Carolina a few weeks ago and had just enough time to be tourists and visited Maggie Valley and The Biltmore Estate.  Actually we were on the estate grounds twice.  We flew to Asheville on September 7th and Mom made Sunday Brunch reservations at the Deerpark Restaurant.  She thought it would be a good way to kick off a week of house hunting outings.
We arrived early but as soon as the restaurant opened staff came and escorted us in, and we were not expecting such a bee-u-tee-ful setting.  We were seated along a wall of ceiling to floor windows, just tables for two.  As Mom was seated the host walked around the table and she noticed that wall of glass was opened, she was in awe.
It was 10 a.m. and cool with just a hint of a crisp, autumn day beginning, birds were chirping, every few minutes a leaf would lazily fall to the ground, and the quiet just added to the perfect setting.
Looking out from our table

When she is excited she is like an opened book - so our waitress heard all about our plans and looking for a home.  She was so sweet, asking questions and being genuinely interested.
We had a wonderful brunch and then off to meet our realtor.

Heaps of Hugs,
Prudence
