Snowmen or No Snowmen, that is the question!
It's Funny Friday
by Prudence ♥
Hi Guys, hope you are havin' a beary nice week. Mom has stitched her last snowman (so she says), it's going to be a wall hanging and will be at our online craft show.
It looks like the theme will be snowmen, they're all over the place. One on an old bed spring, on a salt shaker, even in an old rusted tin can.

It's Funny Friday
by Prudence ♥
Snow? In June? You bet - around here it's always snowing - at least in our heads.
Mom is working on a few table runners that she will offer and then one for our craft show in November.
Two almost completed, one to go. Mom is taking a "few" orders and there will be 1 for sale at our craft show, after November 4 no orders before Christmas. Price is $35. + shipping.
Cigar Boxes
More on these later......

It's been a beary busy week, we have been putting the finishing touches on things for the craft show tomorrow at Good Shepherd Catholic Church. Mom loves this show and we always have so much fun.
We load everything up tonight and tomorrow morning Dad takes us over (like 2 miles from here), gets the tables up and then he hangs around for a little while then goes home. We get all our things set out and then visit with our friends. Most of them we only see at the show so there is lots of "catching up" to talk about.
Then at about 2:45 Dad comes back and waits for 3 o'clock, the closing of the show. We pack up and Dad takes everything to the car. We usually are tired from being out in the fresh air all day but it's a fun tired.
We have a tradition (so what else is new?) We have Chinese take out, Dad calls in the order and then he and Mom go and pick it up. I stay home with Molly Brown & Jessie. After the long day I am as hungry as a bear (giggle) and will really eat a lot. While M&D are out I crawl into my jammies and get nice and snuggly so when it's time to eat I am all tucked in my blankie. Sometimes I drop food in my blankie and Jessie gets her big nose down in my blankie and tries to find the crumbs, she tickles me and then everybeary laughs. We have lots of fun, and I love my family.
It's sleepy time, I have to get lots of rest tonight so I can help Mom. Night, pleasant dreams. I will post pictures of our day next Friday.
Mom just updated our Camp Good Bear Photo Album. Miss PEA over at PEA'S Corner just sent us more pictures. Thank you Miss Pea. (She is Tiffany & Misty's Mom, and they post a Funny Friday too.)

"Lulu, how come we never get to go?"
Beats me, Flora, like the two of us take up so much room?
I have a feeling it's not about having enough room, but cause we are always getting into mischief."
Huh? Us?

"Mom, how come you didn't take my picture too? It's cuz you like Miss Big Nose Pig Nose better, huh.
"Flora, shut up."
"I'll show them, I'm gonna run away from home, then they'll be sorry!"
"You're gonna be really sorry that you are such an awful, mean Mom, Mom."
(Mom thinking: "May I help you pack, Flora?" )

Miss Christmas is made from a pattern by Doreen Frost @ Vermont Harvest Folk Art. She is made from string mohair, stands 6.5" tall, has glass eyes/nose. Her ears are made from ultrasuede, her feet from flat nails that I rusted, and wire arms. NOT FOR YOUNG CHILDREN
She carries a little wreath and has decided to decorate herself with mini strung ornaments.

JASON HAS BEEN ADOPTED
Jason is my original design, he is 16" tall (to tip of ear), made from a cotton terry fabric. He has hand blown glass eyes, and a thread nose. Jason does not admit that his eyesight isn't perfect, just that he thinks his glasses add character. He is bent knee and wrist. Jason is signed and has my logo tags sewn on his back. His little prim tree and sleigh are not handmade by me. (Tree is 16.5" tall, sleigh is 10" long)

This little mouse decided that she wanted to stay up and watch for Santa, so she snuggled up in an empty stocking that hung on the mantle. She fell asleep, missed seing Santa and found goodies all around her.
The stocking is coffee stained, filled with ground cloves, a little rusty bell is tied on the toe. Inside is the wee little mouse, snuggled among red berries, Spanish moss. Her eyes/nose are glass beads, her whiskers are heavy duty thread. A raffia bow is tied on the front. The stocking stands at 8" tall.

This is Merridth bringing home her fresh Christmas tree. She asked the farmer if she could collect a few cut branches from the trees in his field and to her surprise he offered her the pick on any tree she wanted. Not wanting to kill the tree they carefully dug it up and balled it so Merridth could plant it at home.
It was beginning to snow so the two of them went into the farmer's kitchen where the Mrs. had fresh baked cookies and a glass of cold milk waiting for them.
Merridth is another of my Prim Cookie Cutter babies, made with off white mohair.

Thank you for dropping in, it was so nice to see you.
We will be back next year.

A Fun Weekend
Well, M didn't take us to the craft show on Saturday but she told us all about it. Her angels and lamb ornaments continue to be very popular. And we have some pictures to post. M had a wonderful show, a fun time (she has been doing this show for maybe 12+ years now) and always enjoys seeing friends and making new ones.

Angels. Only a few came home.
Snowman necklaces were a big hit with the kids.
Quilled Snowflakes
Little Prudence was adopted but Becca came home and told us all about the show. M said that next year we can go and see what a craft show is all about.
We wish you a wonderful week, filled with love and sunshine. Friday we begin making M's Christmas present.
Hugs,
Prudence
