Wintering a Fuchsia

It's Funny Friday
by Prudence

Hi, everbeary, I am re-posting this information for anyone who has had a bee-u-tee-ful fuchsia plant this summer.  Here is a picture of ours (he is 2 years old now).  The severe storms knocked many blooms off but he still has one or two.

Just before frost we took him into the garage, hung him up and every month gave him just a little drink of water.  Leaves dried and fell off but the amazing thing, tiny new leaves kept growing all winter.
In the spring Mom will replace his soil (we didn't do that last spring) and a nice new pot.

  1. The trees are beautiful! Here we are still having hot weather. Have a wonderful weekend 104 here today. It seems that lately my air conditioner is my best friend.

  2. We saw lots of pretty color while we were there....now we are here (FL). I hope you get a chance to go to the Arboretum this Fall. It is very near the new outlet mall and just gorgeous right now! Sending you lots of HUGS! Wendy and Boo Bear were happy to have us back. Hugs, Diane
