Blueberries, Raspberries, & Sweet Annie

It's Funny Friday
by Prudence

Oh my goodness, it's berry time again.  We have Mom's blueberry bushes and Dad's raspberry bushes
(which are taking over the whole slope).  And then there is the........Sweet Annie.
Mom had the first blueberry of the season and the first raspberry - our girl Jessie had the pleasure of "picking" it, sniff, sniff, gone!  Poor Dad.
The Sweet Annie is growing like a weed.  Mom had a bee-u-tee-ful harvest last fall.  We sent Aunt Kathy home with an arm full, we contained it in a big plastic bag, tied it and put it in the trunk of her car.........yup, it now smells like Sweet Annie.
Tomatoes are showing up almost every day and Jessie's Mater Plant is becoming a monster.

Have a wonderful weekend, maybe the weather will be lovely enough to get out and enjoy all the precious beauty that surrounds us.  Thank you, God.

  2. Im remembering my mama's blueberry pie.
Unfortunately I am not able to eat raspberries anymore. They make such good jam. Ahh, sweet memories!

    Have a wonderful weekend.
