Projects This Week
It's Funny Friday
by Prudence ♥
Hi, Everybeary, hope you are having a great week. I think the weather is confused, it's like springtime up here, it's been 60* all week. Mom's worried that some of the flowering trees will begin to bud, and it's way too early. Last winter our blueberries began to bud and then we had a hard freeze and most got zapped.
Here is what we accomplished this week:

Is it Friday, again?
It's Moody Monday
by Prudence
Bet you're thinkin' "oh no, she is going to post more than once a week?" Nope, it won't happen, but maybe every now and then. So, it's now time....
Just want to show you what we've added to our Etsy Shop (I say "our" 'cause Mom makes the things and I do all the posting).
This is what we added...oh, before I show you I have to say Mom has really stepped outside her box, she never made anything other than animals, and to tell the truth, she is having fun.
Just a little heart hanging
Carrot Top, a wee little bunny (yes, she had to do an animal - actually two....
And another heart, this one she calls Strawberries and Hearts
We have more ideas for another bunny or two but we are waiting for a supply of eyes.
Have a beary good week and I will see you on Friday.
Hugs,
Prudence

Sights, Sounds, Smells
It's Funny Friday
by Prudence
Hi Everybear, how are you on this bee-u-tee-ful Friday morning? I am working this week at Camp Good Bear so Mom is writing today.... Take it away Mom...
Church Steeple - standing on our upstairs porch and looking to the south I see a Church Steeple, it is now almost hidden with the trees in bloom but in the evening I can see the steeple lighted.
Church Bells - coming from the same church are the ringing of the bell. It rings in the evening and on Sunday mornings at 11 a.m.
Horses - during the day I can hear horses whinnying, coming from the south and not too far from the church.
Birds - I saw my first hummingbird on Good Friday morning at our feeder on the porch. How fitting that it would be on that day. We take the feeder in at dusk and put it out at dawn - there have been sightings of a little neighborhood black bear who loves the nectar. The little guy helped himself to a neighbor's bird feeder during the winter.
I love to listen to the sweet songs and chirps of the birds, I begin to hear them at 6 a.m. and they continue to sing their lovely songs all day.
Brook - Garrison Branch runs along our property line down the "hill", in stormy weather you can go out on the porch and hear the rushing water.
Trains - rarely, but it does happen, you can hear a very distant train whistle, there is a railroad that runs along the French Broad River here in Weaverville.

Smells - freshly cut grass, maybe in the fall I will smell freshly cut hay since there is farmland all around us. Lilacs, Lily-of-the-Valley, Rosemary, are some of my most favorite fragrances.
Sightings - my first Bluebird sighing was in March. Chipmunks - two of them playing by the mailbox, bunnies and squirrels too.
"these are a few of my favorite things..."
Have a blessed weekend and maybe you too can enjoy the Sights, Sounds, Smells that nature has brought your way.
