*The First Thanksgiving

Miles and Patience are all ready to share their pumpkin harvest.  Mice are 6" tall made of wool felt, Stained Osnaburg, rusted nails for feet and rusted safety pins for arms.
(A Soft-In-The Head Pattern)

The Mittens were hung on the mantel with care.....

These little cuties are ready and waiting for Santa Mouse.  Made of wool felt, greens, berries, and just a hint of Sweet Annie.  Mitten is stuffed with a smidge of crushed cloves.  Ornament is 6" high (including wire hanger).

*The Christmas Branch

Little Miss Bunny is bringing home her treasured branch for Christmas.  On her way she stopped to put seed out for the birds.  She is made from felt, rusted nail feet and floral tape covered arms.  And, YES, she has a little cotton tail.

*Not A Creature Was Stirring

These little babies found an old sardine can and decided it would be perfect for a little bed.  Materials are wool felt, ribbon, cord, cotton fabric, and sisal for whiskers.

*♫ Noel, Noel, Noel ♫
This little Christmas mouse is all ready for bed but she hears Carolers and begins to sing as she trots to her little mouse bed.  Noel is 6" tall, made of stained Osnaburg, felt ears, rusty nail feet and safety pin arms.  Her little candle and holder are made from an acorn cap, hot glue and a thin dowel.  (A tutorial for the candle/holder is listed on our "The Crafty Corner".)

It's Funny Friday
♫ Love, love will keep us togeth....♫ (oops, giggle).

Please meet  Captain Cornelius, III and Uncle Sammy Mouser.  My sweet and thoughtful friend Carol, over at
Buttermilk Creek Farm
sent me this amazing, incredible, adorable Americana set.  I am so proud to have them in my collection.  If you are a collector of Carol's mousers this is A MUST piece.  And if you are new to Carol's artistry please drop in and see her beautiful mousers.  I have it on the "q-t" that Carol will make these two on a special order basis, and my guess is that they are a very Limited Edition.

And now....here's Prudence.

Hi everybear, boy oh boy, there was a lot of screaming and giggles when we opened that box from Miss Carol.  Mom called to me that we had a box from Buttermilk Creek Farm so I ran, almost fell, down the stairs and we opened the box together.  I could hear scratching & mouse sounds, but we never expected to see the Captain & Sammy.  Miss Carol packed bird seed and crackers for their trip - oh boy, empty shells and crumbs "adorned" the floor, giggle.  They were so happy to be out of that box, Captain Cornelius immediately began his crow calls and Uncle Sammy stretched his legs, straightened his hat and ran to find out where the drumming sound was coming from.  Ah, this is Jack

 (yes, another of Miss Carol's works of art), the three of them just started playing and drumming and marching all around the house.

Then it started....The Captain saw that he had lots of flying space so he flew into the kitchen and was showing us his "fly by" and BONG-WHACK - he got me in the back of the head - OUCH - I saw stars.  Mom yelled and he flew into the dining room - NOT THE DINING ROOM, Mom will kill you.
(I would not)
