Congratulations to Miss Iris at
Boo-Bahs Little Sunshines
Here is the Mouse House that Mom made for us. Wee Wendi the Witch is a creation by Carol over at
Buttermilk Creek Farm , (Carol is working on an amazing Thanksgiving piece right now) & Mom adopted her and named her Wendi. Well, she arrived and sort of just stood there with no place to call her own.
That's when the magic began.
The little woodland mice that live in our woods found a perfect pumpkin for Wendi to live in. They nibbled and nibbled all night to make a perfect opening. The deer got involved next, they rolled the pumpkin to the door so Mom could bring it inside, well, after they ate the pumpkin seeds. (o: Then the other woodland animals began to decorate it, and they scurried all over finding just the perfect materials.
Oh, one little fox dragged the glue over, a little squirrel found a cork and made a table from it. A bunny sneaked into Mom's craft room and found the perfect fabric for the tablecloth, and they all worked and worked.
Then the little birds, led by a Hummingbird (they are getting ready to leave and head south), gathered up moss and other materials for the opening of Wendi's house. As we were all working they brought a few autumn leaves for the top of the pumpkin - it was the perfect touch. That chandelier - they had to come to M for help. They knew Wendi needed a light but didn't know M had this bee-u-tee-ful thingy to hang in her house. So the little animals helped Mom as much as they could hanging the light.
Now Wendi has her new mouse house and she is very happy.
Mr. Bones is very friendly and keeps a protective eye on Wendi, and makes sure that all her little woodland friends come to visit. He also has his
eye on those apples in the wash tub. (o: Little Wendell looks like he is making sure he gets the first apple.

Prudence: "I am so proud of you two, that was wonderful."
And CONGRATULATIONS again to Miss Iris. We love our new name.
All is right in our little teddy bear world....for now, that is.....
