It's Funny Friday

Power Tools
Always wear eye protection when using power tools.
Hi, it's just me AGAIN.  Trying to keep up Prudence's Blog isn't as easy-peasy as I thought.

Today I wanted to show you what I have been making.  Miniature boxes.  "No big deal" you say?  OH YES - you see I still have all 10 fingers, no band-aides, cuts, no splinters (which makes for drama).  I am using my scroll saw - I asked hubby for one years ago and would never use it, always an excuse.  And being the wonderful person that he is, he always did my cutting for me.  Well, move over - cause here comes the "cut up".  (I know, no wonder Prudence doesn't let me write posts.) I am so bad. (o:

So I'll just say it with pictures....

My boxes are painted, antiqued & varnished.  This box measures .75" high, 1&3/8" long & 1" deep.

This one is 1/12 scale too.  It is not lined but does have a removable lid.

I asked Flora & LuLu to guard the drawing box for our giveaway & I found them staring into the box, they wouldn't even go upstairs for their nap so I had to "rephrase" my request.

Today is the last day to enter our 1st Anniversary giveaway.
Be a follower, is the box empty or does it have a little treasure inside?
Yes counts for 2 chances
No counts for 1 chance
When the girls left for summer camp I promised that LuLu & Flora could post, so I am turning it over to them....for the remainder of the summer, let's see what happens.  (o:  or  )o:

  13. I love your little boxes. The tree is fantastic with it's miniatures nestled within. Seeing it makes me amile as I am reminded of years gone by with dollhouses and miniatures. BTW,Flora and LuLus are doing a mighty fine job guarding the drawing box. Have a great up and coming weekend.

Hmm, I have no idea why I'm showing up as anonymous. I am a new follower of your blog. Following publicly (I'm the photo of the little glass dog and my blog is Tumbleweed Trails. It is a Google Blogger account. I'm not sure why there's a glitch. My blog shows me logged in. So sorry.
