Quilting

It's Funny Friday
This is the finished table runner.

I can't believe it, I am quilting.  QUILTING.  I know I have a L O N G way to go and a lot to learn but at least I am beginning.
I want to learn free motion quilting, I  have done a wee bit by myself and I LOVE IT.  But I need instruction, I know there are certain ways to do different "designs".  The Bernina(R) store (up here where I live) has classes and I had to miss the class last Friday but I will sign up for the next one.  I am excited and can't wait.
I'm going back upstairs to do more sewing...  Prudence, take it from here....
Hi Everybeary

Mom is so excited, and I am so proud of her.  She always goes into a project knowing (thinking) she will fail - and I get so annoyed cause she really can do anything that she puts her mind to, she just needs some self-confidence.  We are working on that together.
Mom's Katie and an Easter egg (wooden) that she hand painted.

CAMP GOOD BEAR NEWS....
********************
Daniel &Harold over at
Buttermilk Creek Farm are going to camp.
Wil over at
Bears At Home just signed up too.
Wow, this is going to be one heck bear of a fun summer.
 Yippee.

  3. So much to see and talk to you about Prudence, I am so pleased your Mum is doing patch work. She will love it. Although I am warning you, it will take over lots of cupboards and rooms. Granny has got fabric every where.
You have such a clever Mum, she even paints Easter eggs. Some times my Granny laughs so much I think she might lay one.

  10. Dearest Purdence..Hi..it's Abby..:)
Mom saw some adorable Cammies..(camiflage?) for me to wear at camp..and she was so excited..and so was I. They would have fit me perfectly..but when she went to order..they said SOLD OUT! We both nearly cried. I would have looks so sweet in those..and no one would have been able to see me if I were standing right in front of them in the woods~!! That would have been SO much fun.
She is still looking..and my suitcase is ..well..it's ready to be packed but Mom keeps taking things out of it..and saying I can't take this or that..I'm just so MAD! I tried to take BEBE's cake with me..(darn snotty bear!) I KNOW it would have kept until we got to camp! I could have wrapped it in some of the see through stuff..but MOM..said NO!
    Can you believe all this??
    Me either!!
    ...or is that ..neither!
*ambles off growling under her baby breath..*

  15. Hi all, I'm sorry I haven't been on the blog for a while - been very busy so I've just had time to read your antics. I see you've been keeping up with Jack and Katy and that you've seen Wee Jock.

Well, he's sitting here beside me now - he says "Hello Prudence, Lulu and Flora." - and he's getting packed for his big adventure to India. We leave this Thursday and we're all looking forward to it.

Wee Jock even has his own blog http://peripatetic-jock.blogspot.co.uk/ so you can follow his antics and ours of course.

    Have a lovely Easter,

    Alan
