Projects...continued

It's Funny Friday
by Prudence

Hi Gang.
Well, it's been real quiet around here, and real cold.  I mean COLD!  Last January we broke a record, it was -3, and I find this so funny to say, but it was only 5 one morning last week . ♫ "Heat wave, we're havin' a heat wave, a tropical heat wave.  The temperatures rising..........
Oh boy, I need a vacation.
Okay, Mom continues right on track with finishing up some UFOs (UnFinished Objects).  This is what is going on in the craft room....
NEEDLE PUNCH
This is her first needle punch project.  The kit is from Vermont Harvest Folk Art by Doreen Frost.
"I enjoyed this, instructions are extremely detailed and I am glad that I choose one of Doreen's kits as my first project.  As you can see, it still needs framing."

English Paper Piecing (miniature quilt)
Mom's very dear and sweet friend, Cindy, (in Westminster, CO), sent her this kit.  Cindy introduced Mom to paper piecing, and has sent her several bee-u-tee-ful kits for mini quilts.  I will show them to you in a later post.  One still isn't started.
Ready for the backing which will be the solid red fabric.
Below - first starting.

Heaps of Hugs and have a wonderful weekend.
Love,
Prudence

  1. Wonderful progress! I think that's one of winters advantages as you stay indoors and content yourself with handwork!
