HONEY & PEANUT BUTTER BBQ SAUCE
(Don't try this at home, or for that matter, anyplace.)
Oh boy, did we make a mess. It was a wonderful day (yesterday) nice weather, M&D were preparing the chicken for the grill, all was right with our little teddy bear world.

And then stupid me (Prudence) took the honey jar & peanut butter jar upstairs.  We found a mixing container and really just wanted to surprise the family with our special BBQ Sauce (dopey little Sissy thought we would be famous, maybe even Martha Stewart would have us on her show), little sisters can be naive, wow!

The peanut butter wasn't too bad, but then when we added the honey it stuck to our mohair.  Well that made me & sister stick to each other YUCK and then it really all went downhill from there.
We were in our craft room, and there was a pile of fiberfill next to where we were working....are you seeing the picture?  It was nasty.  So now we have honey, pb, AND fiberfill all over us.

Wait, what was that?  Footsteps?  Oh no, it's THE MOM, the Enforcer, the hit Mom, it was.....HER. Quickly I threw (BIG mistake) fiberfill over us - and we're safe.  Sniff, sniff - Mom comes in and smells peanut butter and looks at the mound on the floor.  Again, dopey little sister's foot was "sticking" out.  Busted.

Mom picked up the fiberfill & we sorta "stuck" to it and just hung there waiting for the yelling to begin.  Nope - total silence, total control (this is really going to be bad for us).
(Caption: "hi Mom-ster, how ya doin'?")

WAIT - we're okay, safe....lovingly Mom took us into the bathroom and cleaned us up.  It took about an hour, Dad wanted to know what Mom was doing "nothing, just fussing with the bears", whew - thank you, momma.

We were wet and Mom said it would be okay if she just air dried us. We are loved, and let us tell you - we LOVE back.

We were nice and dry (a smidge too fluffy though) for our supper.  But Dad kept remarking about smelling peanut butter.  Mom never said a word.

To our teddy bears friends - please don't "dunk n dip" near fiberfill. Hahahahahahaha.  Giggle.

We'll see ya when we see ya.....

  6. Dear Prudence and Sissy, we were so worried you were going to get into trouble. Peanut butter and honey sounds a bit icky to us, but peanut butter, chocolate spread and creme de leche is REALLY yummy, so maybe try that next time. Maybe don't try that near stuffing though, the strands get stuck between your teeth...

Hugs and sticky, honey covered kisses

  7. Hi Beech, Birch, Tupelo, Oakley, Maisey, Lilac & Lulu.

Oh gosh, when it really comes down to it, Mom says we are just too cute to really get into bad trouble. But you know, we have to keep our humans on their toes. (o:

We will ask Mom to buy some chocolate and Creme De Leche (we don't know what that is but we sure know about CHOCOLATE). Giggle. Hi Miss Katy.

  8. You were both very lucky not to get a spanking! Just as well your mum has a kind heart and understands that bears can get into a little mischeif now and then.
