Biltmore Estate

It's Funny Friday
by Prudence

We were very surprised to see lush Bamboo growing on the grounds.
Howdy everybear, how are you on this wonderful Friday morning?
As you know, we were in Western North Carolina a few weeks ago and had just enough time to be tourists and visited Maggie Valley and The Biltmore Estate.  Actually we were on the estate grounds twice.  We flew to Asheville on September 7th and Mom made Sunday Brunch reservations at the Deerpark Restaurant.  She thought it would be a good way to kick off a week of house hunting outings.
We arrived early but as soon as the restaurant opened staff came and escorted us in, and we were not expecting such a bee-u-tee-ful setting.  We were seated along a wall of ceiling to floor windows, just tables for two.  As Mom was seated the host walked around the table and she noticed that wall of glass was opened, she was in awe.
It was 10 a.m. and cool with just a hint of a crisp, autumn day beginning, birds were chirping, every few minutes a leaf would lazily fall to the ground, and the quiet just added to the perfect setting.
Looking out from our table

When she is excited she is like an opened book - so our waitress heard all about our plans and looking for a home.  She was so sweet, asking questions and being genuinely interested.
We had a wonderful brunch and then off to meet our realtor.

Heaps of Hugs,
Prudence

  1. Prudence did you have brunch at the beautiful place as well. I do hope you had your very best manners. I know you would, although I'm not sure about those other girls. It must have been a lucky day with everything turning out well.
