Mom mounted it on a pumpkin shaped hornbook which she painted and then stained.

I'm back.....

It's Funny Friday

Hi, Everybeary, I'm back home and enjoying catching up on all the activities up here in our craft room.

Camp was wonderful and we are filled up for Summer 2017, but there will be a new bunk house built so that more new bears can stay, one bunk house for boys, one for girls.  There are future plans for a new "cub house" too but not sure if that will be ready for next summer.  Everybeary had a great time and the little cubs, who cried when their bearents left them on that first day, cried even more when it was time to say goodbye.  It's tough, we see each other once a year, spend several weeks together and then in a flash it's time for our goodbyes.  There are lots of stories, but...what happens at camp - stays at camp.  Giggle.

So, I hear that Vlad did a wonderful job posting, and LuLu & Flora were at their peak at being nasty little bears.  But, honestly, I missed them bunches, and when they saw me walk into the house.....here is what it looked like

Remember me?  Of course you do.  I'm home and had a wonderful time at Camp Good Bear.  I am a senior Bearscelor which means more behind the scenes  than I would like but we need to keep things running smoothly.

I have lots of pictures to share and Mom will be  posting them in our camp album shortly.

You little kids weren't here yet when all this happened.

Hi, we are so sad and miss Prudence so much.  She's still up at camp but promises that she will be home next week.  So, we can write about anything that we want.  YIPPEE.

Molly Brown & Jessie are spoiled rotten.

Dad doesn't have to pick up after himself.

Mom she is so whoa, um, she is lovely, takes care of everything all the time, never makes a mess or mistake (almost slipped up on Mom, that could have been a disaster for us kids).  Whew.....

"Let's talk about Prudence,

"yeah, let's talk about what it's like living with Miss Prissy Pants"

"Like when she tried to use the sewing machine, remember that one?"

"Or when she told the whole wide world that Mom is terrified of fish?"

"Oh, what about the post when Jessie took Mom's camera and somehow the video turned on, that is a classic"
"Oh, this one has to be the best ever - remember when Miss Mary put Rizzo The Rat in the mailbox and Mom went to get the mail - whoa, what a scream!"
"Yeah, but what about what she did to Dad when he came home and went to get the mail!  That one has to be the best ever.  And poor Dad never figured out that it was Mom."

We are leaving in a few minutes to bring Prudence home from camp.  I know the bears have mixed emotions, saying goodbye to friends vs. going home to their families.  They all have decided that they will write to each other until next year.  The little ones here are so excited, they are all packed in the SUV calling to me to "hurry up Mom".  So cute.
We will spend the night half way up to camp and have some fun.  We promised  they can have a burger at Brown Bear Burgers, I just have to figure out how to explain that we can't take one for Prudence.  I guess we will have to stop on the way home for another round.
I know Prudence will have many stories to tell you, so I will say.....

Home Sweet Home

It's Funny Friday

(I can't believe those two little dummies, LuLu & Flora, thought Mom's new serger was an alien from another planet)

(Honest, we are the best of friends.  Oh, there is a story, I posted it last October.  It's become a family treasure story.)

It's so good to be home, although camp this year was the best ever.  I got to meet all my teddy bear buds, learned about leadership, teaching crafts (I got that gene from Mom), and to enjoy nature at its best.

Giggle, I won't mention names, but there was some "teddy romance" going around at the campfire.  It was adorable, little girl bears with their cheeks a smidge pink (blushing) and the boys.....oh, those boys, when the girls were around and looking at them they got goofy.  I mean, really goofy. Mom says they were showing off for us, they would pretend not to notice us, but....

Today I am helping Mom with fall decorating.  She promised to wait till I came home so now we are knee deep in packing boxes, lights, all the fun and bee-u-tee-ful fall stuff.  Poor Dad, he took the day off to add to the holiday weekend and he has been "commissioned" into helping.  Giggle.

Next Friday I will post about our Fall Giveaway, so please drop by and see what I have made.  Oh, and Mom is posting pictures of her little Prim Cookie Cutter Babies in the Bear Gift Shoppe and our Christmas Shoppe.  She says they will be available on September 10th but ya know what?  I took an order for the little bunny with her ear muffs except in red, Mom says she only has an itty bitty piece of felt left and she isn't sure if  "we" can squeeze a body out of it.  Gulp.

It's Funny Friday

Yippee, it's time to go and bring Prudence home from camp.  We are ready, waiting and wanna go NOW!

We called Prudence last night and well.....she says she is ready to come home but if she had the chance she would stay a wee bit longer.  )o:  Not making us feel happy....Prudence.

She said all the bears are sad to leave, they made so many new friends, and they want to be able to visit each other during the year.  We don't like that - we want Prudence all to ourselves.  If her friends come to visit she won't include us in any of the reindeer games - oops (giggle), in any of her teddy bear games.

Mom promised that we can help with the fall decorating this year.  Last year Prudence was in charge and we couldn't help.  It wasn't our fault that we stepped on the orange lights for the mantel, or dropped a bag of candy corn, or broke Mom's favorite ceramic pumpkin.  We get excited and then we do stupid stuff,  we're just little cubs, ya know.  Right?  Huh?

Oh, we gotta go....it's time to get in the car and leave.

I will be having my "bearcedure" done on Monday, and please don't worry - it's no biggie.  It's going to make me feel beartter and I will be able to sit up straighter at my puter, and that will make my back stronger.

I will have to rest for a few days but Mom is giving me her laptop so I can write to you and keep tabs on all the exciting things you are doing.

Really, Mom, honest?  You mean it isn't gonna hurt?  But you have to PROMISE that we can sleep with her in her bed and stay right by her side till she is better.  Promise?

I wanted a puppy...

It's Funny Friday

I wanted a puppy for Christmas - nope, no puppy.  But wait, am I disappointed? No.  Being  a bearbrat? No.  Pouting?  Nope, ya know why....

I got my puppy, just not on Christmas Day.  Mom adopted Weenie (pronounced Winnie) Girl from

Mellisea's Creations  She hasn't arrived from the Netherlands yet, but she is on her way,
I can't wait for her to get here.  Mom is tracking her coming across the ocean and said she is very safe and anxious to get to her new family.  Color me happy - my very own puppy.

Almost Over...

It's Funny Friday

Now what do we do?  LuLu & Flora were so busy watching their wee tree now they are disappointed that they missed so much of our Christmas Traditions.  I tried to keep them busy playing with our prezzies, having tea parties, and taking naps under their trees - but they are pouting.

Time for some creative planning. They are "little hams" when it comes to having their picture taken so this is what I did....
